Christiana Care Adult Down Syndrome Clinic

The Christiana Care Adult Down Syndrome Clinic at the Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center has openings for new and returning patients.  Call 302-320-6300 to schedule your appointment.

The clinic is not meant to be a primary care clinic but offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team to address the specific needs of adults with Down Syndrome. The physician providers include Dr. Lou Bartoshesky and Dr. Mary Stephens. We also have a  social worker, nurse navigator and a medical assistant who now part of our team and will be able to assist you with your needs specific to caring for an adult with Down syndrome. The team works closely with the person with Down Syndrome, their family, community resources, the primary care provider and other healthcare providers to help meet any unmet care needs and provide a comprehensive evaluation.

A staff member of the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware attends the Adult Down Syndrome clinic and is available to meet with patients and their families during most sessions to discuss community resources and family support.  In addition, the DSA of DE donates informational books and other resources to patients and families during clinic appointments.

 Delaware Family Voices Monthly MCO Calls

Delaware Family Voices will be continuing monthly calls but please see the information that follows for information about the MCO calls and the NEW call-in numbers

When do we meet?
• The second Tuesday of every month.
• For 2015 we have a new phone number and a new participant code
• The phone line is available from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

• Please introduce yourself briefly. Parents will have the first option for time to speak.
• Please try to have someone from your organization on the call, your input is needed.
• Please share with families that may benefit from this call.

• The call will end by noon if discussions have concluded and there are no additional questions.
• 2015 calls will be held -1/13, 2/10, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12, 6/9, 8/11, 9/8, 10/13, 11/10 No calls for July and December
