Teen/Adult Down Syndrome Clinic
The Christiana Care Teen & Adult Down Syndrome Clinic at the Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center was co-founded by the now retired Dr. Lou Bartoshesky and runs the 2nd and 3rd Monday of every month. The clinic is not meant to be a primary care clinic but offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team to address the specific needs of teens and adults with Down Syndrome.

Teen/Adult Dances
In 2023, the Down Syndrome Association of DE is hosting 3 Teen/Adult Dances for individuals with Down syndrome ages 14+ on April 28, September 29, and December 8 in Newark. Check out our Events Calendar for more details!
Teen/Adult Summer Day Trips
Every summer, teens and adults with Down syndrome ages 14+ are invited on our Teen/Adult Day Trips to places like Main Event, Lefty’s Alley & Eats, Blue Rocks game, and more! Check out our Events Calendar for more details!
iCan Swim Camp
This 5-day camp helps individuals of all different abilities achieve their aquatic goals and learn valuable water safety skills during the weeklong program. It is truly an amazing experience for both participants and volunteers.
Campers attend the same session each day for 5 consecutive days.

iCan Bike Camp
This 5-day camp teaches individuals of all different abilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle without training wheels. It is truly an amazing experience for both participants and volunteers.
Camp accepts 25 riders on a first-come, first-served basis. Riders attend the same 75 minute session each day for 5 consecutive days.
