Our monthly cooking classes are a favorite among our community, providing a chance for individuals with Down syndrome to learn new skills in a supported environment and socialize with peers! We have two programs for individuals with Down syndrome: one for youth (ages 8-17) and one for teens and adults (ages 18+). Cooking classes are held monthly on Wednesdays, and registration is required for all attendees. Why sign up for a cooking class? During class, our participants…
- build independence
- try new dishes
- strengthen social skills
- practice following routines & directions
- learn how to work as a team
- prepare for real-world experiences
- and have fun!
