Down Syndrome Association of Delaware

Friday Friends

Friday Friends is a monthly social program for teens and adults with Down syndrome, where we get together once a month for an activity-based hangout. Friday Friends events are designed to encourage socialization and community-building for individuals with Down syndrome. Past Friday Friends activities include pottery, bowling, bingo, and more!

At Friday Friends, our motto is inclusion. We welcome everyone to join, whether this is your first DSADE event or if you are a community regular. The goal is to help form an inclusive group of friends as individuals with Down syndrome navigate life transitions. Friday Friends also allow participants to challenge themselves with new activities and environments, supported by DSADE staff and volunteers.

At Friday Friends, individuals with Down syndrome can bring a couple of their own friends who do or do not have Down syndrome, if they would like. Guest Policy:

  • Individuals who do not have Down syndrome are welcome to attend Friday Friends if they have been invited by one of our DSADE members.
  • Individuals with Down syndrome should include name(s) of any guests in their registration (if applicable).
  • Individuals without Down syndrome must include the name of the individual with Down syndrome of whom they are a guest. Individuals without Down syndrome must be invited by a DSADE member.
