Family Portrait Mini-Sessions
Sunday, July 12 (Clayton), 5:00 PM
Families with individuals with Down syndrome are invited to join us to take beautiful family portraits. You’ll be paired with a photographer for a 20-minute session. This event is free of charge, though we do require a refundable deposit.
Days of Summer Camp: Kent County
July 13-17, 2026
Days of Summer Camp is a fun day camp experience for children with Down syndrome ages 3-13 and their siblings ages 3-10. Children are provided with the traditional camp experience with crafts, games, and many other exciting activities at no cost to their families.
Friday Friends: Mix, Mingle, & Improv Social!

Teens and adults with Down syndrome and their invited guests are invited to our July Friday Friends! This month, we’ll be hosting a improv night focused on practicing communication and developing new friendships. We’ll provide pizza for dinner!

Drive Through Car Seat Check
Thursday, July 30, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Any family with a child with Down syndrome is invited to our Free Drive Through Car Seat Check at North Star Elementary. A car seat check is a quick safety appointment where a certified technician ensures your child’s car seat is properly installed and fits your child correctly.

Down to Box Sussex County Open House
Friday, July 31, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Please join us at Five Points Boxing (26866 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Harbeson, DE, Building 5 Units A-B. Behind Peak Fitness) for an open house for the revamped Sussex County Down to Box Program. Down to Box is for individuals with Down syndrome or other intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 14+ and helps participants gain skills in coordination, self-defense, and physical fitness through boxing techniques. Playground Meet-Up
Sunday, August 23, 10 AM – 2 PM
Join DSADE Outreach Coordinators Susan and Ari anytime on Sunday, August 23 from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Can-Do Playground (Alapocas State Park) for a casual get-together during the Nemours Connect Fair. Explore the different wellness resources, community health vendors, kids activities, and more. No RSVP required!

Teens and adults with Down syndrome and their invited guests are welcome to register for our September Friday Friends! This month, we’ll be hosting a bowling night at Lefty’s in Lewes. No dinner provided–please eat before arriving.
Virtual Educators Conference

DSADE families and DE educators are encouraged to attend this free conference, focused on classroom-ready strategies that educators can immediately implement in K–12 settings to support students with Down syndrome and other ID/DDs. Please email info@dsadelaware.org for the discount codes.
